The first Tuesday in August, communities throughout the country simultaneously host National Night Out events with the goal to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. 

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Locally, the event typically features free food, music, games, therapy K9s, touch-a-truck experience and officer meet and greet. An epic water balloon fight between cops and kids takes place at the end of the event.
