Note: Police reports are filed with the local police department where the incident occurred.

Officers patrol past registered addresses while performing regular duties. Information such as name, address, phone number, departure/return dates, contact for a local keyholder, and information is requested to help quickly recognize suspicious activity. Submissions must be made no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday to receive weekend coverage. Providing contact information enables the Village to contact you if additional information is needed to process the request. If choosing to remain anonymous, call Utica Police during business hours to make the request. Public records requests will be made available within a prompt and reasonable period of time (R.C. 149.43(b)(1)). "Prompt" and "Reasonable" will be determined by the volume, location where the records are stored, and the necessity for any legal review. Call Utica Police during business hours with questions regarding this process. Reports can be sent via email or faxed at no charge, or can be picked up at the Police Station at the cost of $1.00 up to 10 pages, $2.00 for 11+ pages; same cost to email/fax. Photographs are available on CD for $10 per CD. Body Cam requests are an additional charge, plus the cost of postage if needing mailed. If the report or communication from the office has not been received within seven business days, call during business hours to confirm the request was received. Utica Police actively enforce traffic laws and aggressively pursue impaired drivers. Residents may report areas with regular traffic concerns to the Department to be reviewed by the Department. A speed monitoring device that provides real-time feedback on driver speed can be temporarily stationed in problem areas to study traffic and remind drivers of speed limits. In high-risk crossing areas, crosswalks with Rapid Flashing Beacons, and permanent radar signs have been installed. To report a traffic concern, submit a request via the Citizen Request Center.
